OZY Youth Choir - Honouring Defence Service

The Wagga RSL sub-Branch formed the Wagga Mob of the RSL Commemorative Rural Youth Choir Inc. on 12th October 2014. This Mob quickly grew to incorporate the Junee Mob and went on to perform at a number of local events for the Centenary of Anzac in 2015.

A huge thank you to all involved to get the Mobs up and running! It certainly was a team effort, from the volunteer RSL Sub-branch members (our roadies), the young people who sang and their parents who brought them, to our 2015 Mob Leaders, Marg Davies and Liz Lieschke who willingly gave of their time and expertise.

The OZY Youth Choir Honouring Defence Service

in October 2018 the RSL(NSW) Restructure lead to the Choir becoming an incorporated body in their own rite. The Choir now a National entity was rebranded the OZY Youth Choir Honouring Defence Service. The Wagga Mob is now looked after by Mel Crawford and has two Ambassadors in Zoe and May.

We look forward to another exciting year of opportunities for our local Choir Mobs. We welcome all school aged young people to join us!
